Marshall Hayward, Ph.D.

Marshall Hayward, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President of Business Development — Dr. Hayward has over 20 years of international experience in the pharmaceutical and health care industries, specifically in pharmaceutical discovery, product development, and commercialization.  Most recently, he served as Vice President of Business Development for Hurley Consulting Associates, Ltd., a specialist pharmaceutical consulting firm.  He served as Director of New Business Development at Rhodia Pharmaceutical Ingredients.  At SmithKline Beecham (UK), he was Director and Vice President, Analgesics Research and Development.  He was a senior scientist in wound healing research and development at Johnson & Johnson.  Dr. Hayward began his career at Ayerst Laboratories Research and Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories. Dr. Hayward received a doctoral degree in biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and did postdoctoral work there in molecular biology.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Michigan State University.
